The Chicago Bears have a crowded quarterback room after signing Andy Dalton and then trading up for Justin Fields to be their quarterback of the future. Veteran Nick Foles would seem to be the odd man out, so it’s no surprise the Bears have tried to find a deal for him.To get more news about

In fact, NFL insider Adam Caplan recently reported Chicago tried to send Foles back to the Philadelphia Eagles, where he recently won a Super Bowl in relief of the injured Carson Wentz. However, the Eagles didn’t bite, and no other team is either.
It’s no shock the Bears tried to trade Foles to Philadelphia given the success he had there, but the Eagles already have a veteran in place behind Jalen Hurts in Joe Flacco.
Foles started the 2020 season as Mitchell Trubisky’s backup, only to replace Trubisky in Week 3 against the Atlanta Falcons. The 32-year-old was then the starter until he suffered an injury in Week 10 against the Minnesota Vikings. Trubisky got the starting job back and didn’t lose it the rest of the way into the playoffs, where the Bears lost in ugly fashion to the New Orleans Saints.
However, Trubisky is now gone, and Dalton and Fields are in place. Dalton is expected to enter training camp as the starter, but Bears fans will be itching to see Fields under center as soon as possible. Perhaps Foles will stick around as the third quarterback, but it would be better to trade him and get at least something back in return for him.
