After the success of the Y-3 Qasa  and by success we simply mean that people were in awe of the look, it didn't necessarily make them available due to the cash one would have to shell to get a pair  adidas Originals took notice and has given us a similar aesthetic at a more accessible model. The design cues are all there including that unique cushioned outsole while the upper consists of a leather and mesh combination to give the sneaker a high-tech appearance.

adidas Originals is paying tribute to the timeless Stan Smith silhouette in adidas basketball shoes the new year with a four-pack of releases titled the "Royal Pack". The pack is designed to showcase the classic shoe in its purest form. adidas lets the Stan Smith speak for itself by offering it in a simple white and a simple black colorway, each with gold accents and a nude inner liner. Both tonal colorways feature a tumbled leather upper. Meanwhile, two other "Recon" versions of the Stan Smith will also release, one white and one blue. The Stan Smith Recon is designed to be a premium offering of the classic tennis shoe with subtle remastered detailing.
